This listening experience features a story of steadfast romance and cruel misunderstanding. Holly Shannon North is a tomboy turned fashion model who meets up with Linc, an old flame from her teenaged years. She has a new interest in him, but he wants the grown-up sophisticated Shannon to be the Holly he once knew. Laural Merlington narrates with determination, exerting great effort to arouse sexual tension and excitement. However, Holly is given an annoying little-girl voice. Merlington does better with the voice of the macho Linc. This romance emphasizes sexual tension over character development and plot. D.L.G. (c) AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine
